How Avoidance Of Perfumes, Soaps And Sprays Can Help To Ward Off Yeast Infections

Yeast infections can be spread from one person to another, so avoid sharing towels, pants or underwear and if you have a yeast infection, consider using a condom during sex. Sometimes condoms may make a yeast infection worse, so abstinence may be the best option.

Often times, a woman will get a yeast infection and pass it to her sexual partner before she realizes that has a yeast infection. In men, yeast infections don’t show signs until they are extremely bad and very painful. What ends up happening is that the man will carry the infection without having very many symptoms (if any) himself and the two will continually pass the infection back and forth.

This is why it’s important to have your partner treat himself for a vaginal yeast infection at the same time as you if you feel you have had sexual intercourse while you were infected. Make sure you both complete treatment fully and are being treated for a minimum of five days, if not seven.
