Douching is generally not recommended at any point in a woman’s life. It’s not recommended because using douching products can mess up a woman’s natural pH balance. If you want to douche, you can use a mixture of apple cider vinegar and water.
Make the mixture by adding two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to two quarts of boiled filtered water. You can douche with this mixture twice a day. You may consider adding two cups of pure apple cider vinegar to a hot bath and sitting in the bath water for at least 20 to 30 minutes. Open the lips of your vagina and allow the warm medicinal water to enter into the infected area.
Some women choose to insert plain yogurt into their vagina at night before bed. This can work as a fantastic treatment, but consider mixing a half a tablespoon of water and half a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in with the plain yogurt and inserting this mixture into the vagina before bed. Make sure you thoroughly rinse the mixture out in the morning. You may want to wear a sanitary napkin during days of treatment as some excess discharge may leak out throughout the day.
Rinse of your vagina with warm water (no soap) a few times a day. If you have a yeast infection, you may wish to use sanitary napkins during treatment so that you can constantly be rinsing off the infected discharge and getting it out of your underpants.
Make sure you are sanitizing your underpants before wearing them again and avoid wearing tight clothes.
